Many Filipinos are still superstitious and still cling to folk beliefs. It is no surprise that many Filipinos are willing to share personal experiences with supposed supernatural beings. In 2016, Kapamilya star Melai Cantiveros shared her spooky experience with an elderly woman who had been around their house in General Santos City.
According to the “Magandang Buhay” host, when she was still pregnant with her first-born Mela, she decided to go home to her hometown. However, just days after they arrived in their family’s house, she noticed an elderly woman circling their abode.
First day, kapag second day dala pa rin ang kaldero, ala una hanggang alas dos.
Our local superstitions say that pregnant women are more prone of being victimized by “supernaturals.” Since she only had a few months before delivery, she said that her husband Jason Francisco even thought of physically confronting the elder.
Parang nakaramdam.”
Melai Cantiveros and her family believed that the supposed supernatural was probably pretending to be an elderly woman Melai also thought that burning rubbers had helped them to drive away the strange woman.
Totoo ‘yan.”
