Many of us were geared up with New Year’s resolutions when we entered 2018. Save money, quit smoking, take a trip, find a new job – this new chapter in our lives is the perfect time to commit to life-changing plans. Among the long list of these annual resolutions, a fitness-focused year is the most popular target. But, as much as one craves a fitter body, unfortunately not everyone can stick to it. As for Michelle Madrigal, she recently came up with a smart way for her to get back on track with weight loss.
Throughout the years, the former actress has always had an active lifestyle. Thanks to her hubby Troy Woolfolk, a self-proclaimed “gym rat”, Michelle was encouraged to work her bod off through regular exercise. Soon after, the wife had grown to love it, eventually earning her the sexy physique any other girl would dream of having.
Fast-forward a few months and Michelle welcomed her first child. On May last year, the then-mom-to-be embarked on her pregnancy for the first time. Yet, throughout the next months, she didn’t forget to squeeze in a few trips to the gym. Would you believe that at six months pregnant, the former star was able to accomplish leg day? Her workouts were much lighter than her usual routines, still, something was better than nothing!
Still, Michelle gained weight as this is how it normally goes for all expectant moms. Now that their pride and joy (named Anika) has been brought into the world, the wife finally has the time to get back to her active lifestyle! Just in time for 2018. She was ready lose her excess postpartum weight by joining a fitness challenge. In a post she uploaded on her Instagram account were the “Day 1” body shots of herself, which she captioned:
“I was so reluctant to post these photos because it’s not your typical edited or photoshopped IG content… this is me RAW! No make up, filter free and just showing off my real postpartum body.”
According to Michelle, this was her first time to join a fitness-related contest.
“I have joined the @1stphorm 8 Week TRANSPHORMATION challenge because I want to be in the best shape of my life! I want to see my self discipline knowing that I have never joined any fitness contest related before so this will be very hard for me.”
The challenge isn’t only motivating for its free registration and freebies, but mostly because of the grand prize: an amount of $5,000-$10,000 or $ 5,000 or roughly 20,000-50,000 in Philippine Peso.
If this can’t make you get up and head off to the gym, we don’t know what will! At any rate, break a leg, Michelle!
