For Miho Nishida, her 7-year-old daughter Aimi is her greatest blessing despite raising her alone. Being a parent sure is taxing, especially if you’re a single mom or dad. Despite this, just a smile from her baby girl melts all her woes away. The celebrity mom said:
“Sometimes, it’s hard. But behind the hardship (of being a solo parent), you must do it for your child and for your child’s well-being, of course. It’s hard, but when I see her smiling and telling me ‘thank you,’ the problems seem to vanish.”
In a previous interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), Miho shared that among the things that make the situation hard is when her daughter asks about her father.
“We went to a family day once and she was telling me that her friend brought along her dad with her. Of course, it was just me and her grandmother who can come with her given her father’s absence. That’s when I find it hard to explain to her whenever she gets to mention her father. So, I just told her ‘It’s okay, your lola and I are here.’ Something like that. I think she understands.”
On the other hand, Miho shared that she’s waiting for the right time to finally enlighten Aimi about what really happened to her and her dad. And because she’s a single mother, she has to provide extra time and effort for her beloved child such as going on outings and watching videos on Youtube.
Good thing, the efforts of Miho earn sweet gestures from Aimi. She told PEP that she receives love letters from her daughter whenever she gets home late from work or tapings.
“There are times when I arrive home late, Aimi is already fast asleep. Then I would come across a letter on the table, with a sweet message written on it: ‘I love you, mama. Thank you. From, Aimi.’” That’s so sweet of her.”
Asked if Aimi is interested in joining show business, Miho narrated that her daughter pegs her.
“I was in ‘Girltrends’ before, and our outfits were often cropped tops and the likes. So, she copies me by wearing cropped tops as well. She also wants to join ‘Goin’ Bulilit soon.’”
