It’s irritating to know that there are people who think they are entitled to see more than what celebrities show or reveal, and that they should just suck it up whenever they get unpleasant remarks online because that’s the price they have to pay as public figures. But it’s a no for the Kapamilya star Sofia Andres. Recently, a netizen left a nasty comment on the young actress’ photo which she did not take lightly. She wrote on Twitter:
“I didn’t create an account on Instagram to show my tits and butt or show too much skin. There’s this anonymous (online user) who actually thinks I’m insecure and can’t be proud of my body. I love myself.”
The said netizen, apparently, asked her why she did not show that much when she shared a photo of herself in a red one-piece on Instagram. The unknown commenter also accused her of being insecure of her body. Sofia also explained this matter on her recent guesting at the late-night talk show “Tonight with Boy Abunda.”
“Kasi po nag-post ako nung New Year, January 1, nang naka-swimsuit. Pero ano pa rin, eto lang kita, arms lang at saka legs. Tapos may nag-message sa ‘kin na yun nga… may guy na nagla-like ng mga photos na naka-swimsuit, mga sexy, ganyan-ganyan. So, sinend sa ‘kin lahat.”
“Ta’s parang insecure daw ako, ba’t daw hindi ko mapakita yung body ko talaga. Sabi ko ‘Ba’t ko naman ipakita lahat? Eh kung ayaw ko naman.’ And I don’t feel comfortable doing it. So yun, nakapag-tweet ako nung ganun na parang ‘Insecure agad?’ Hindi ba pwedeng hindi pa ready?”
Tito Boy then agreed with her take on this and told her.
“There, okay. That’s a choice you make.”
The award-winning host also asked her if she got ticked off by the anonymous guy’s comment on her. Sofia admitted that she got provoked a little bit.
