Rico J. Puno’s last media event before his sudden passing at 65

There’s no doubt that the heartbreaking news of Rico J. Puno’s sudden passing has left many people devastated. At the age of 65, the OPM legend fought hard against his heart illness. It is no secret that in 2015 and 2017, he has undergone several surgeries to help his condition. His sister-in-law, Anna Puno, confirmed the sad announcement through her post on Instagram.

Upon hearing the news, many fans and celebrity stars have sent their condolences to his family. Veteran singers Gary Valenciano, Janno Gibbs, and Lea Salonga also gave their goodbye messages to the artist.

His last media event was when he, Jiselle Sanchez, and Marissa Sanchez were promoting their upcoming concert in November. Titled “Music and Laughter: Sana Tatlo Ang Puso Ko,” their concert was supposed to be held at Solaire’s The Theater.

During his interview, Rico even managed to assure his fans about his condition. He said that he’s in great shape and that they don’t have anything to worry about.He even expressed how excited he was for their upcoming show. That’s why the public was definitely blown away that after a few days, Rico J. took his final bow at St. Lukes Medical Center in Taguig. 

Besides his hit songs, Rico is also known for his acting career and his public service. In fact, he is an incumbent councilor of Makati City. This is why many people fell in love with the artist. Not only that he was able to share his talent, but he has also inspired a lot of people who look up to him.
